About her
She gave up her nursing career to stay home and homeschool 5 children all the way through high school. She supported our dad in ministry for 40 years. She is our prayer warrior, teaching us to go to Jesus with everything great and small. Since our dad passed away, she now spends her time giving back to others by being a caregiver and companion to the elderly. She mails cards to all of her kids and 20 grandchildren and travels hundreds of miles to spend time with all of them.
What made her special
Her prayers. Her birthday cakes she decorated by hand for every child every time. The cards she mails to her grandbabies for every birthday and holiday. The videos she sends on every child and grandchild's birthday with a special love message.
What she taught me
How to truly love my children and show them the love of Jesus, how to serve her children and husband and those around her without complaint. How a homemade meal given to a friend in their time of need is a true ministry of love. That a handwritten note is priceless. That unseen sacrifice and love can change the world.
Why she deserves this
To me, she is everything a mother should be and has demonstrated unconditional love and a servant's heart in all she does, and it is now echoing through generations.
